Workshops

We have been running workshops on best practices for 30 years at locations where groups of interested people can get together at the best time of year and use local meadows and woods to illustrate the teaching.

| £50 per person*
Study a restored meadow and learn how to identify a range of key wild flowers & seeds. We will also look at how the choice of commercially available seeds effects seed mix construction and how hand collecting plays an important part in saving those rarer species. The principles of meadow creation and management will also be covered on the course.

The team at Colstrope Farm have pioneered the conversion of calcareous arable farmland in the Chilterns to diverse wild flowers with appropriate management techniques. A wide range of insects including butterflies have now colonised the area.

*tickets include refreshments and course handouts
